Background:
This retrospective was not designed to resolve conflict but rather as a debrief for the team to be more aware of conflict situations and what might be happening for them if it arises. I created this retrospective for a team that was relatively new and had only worked together for 2 months, we are all working fully remote. In this team, a massive conflict happened between 2 people in the teams instant messaging channel. Even though only 2 people were involved, the entire team saw the exchange. When something like this happens it can be tempting to just ignore but it’s so necessary to address situations like this in the team. I decided to tackle this in the next team retrospective (synchronous).
